For many companies, August marks the start of the planning process for developing next year's sales compensation plans. Whether or not you're jumping into that process now, you may find it of interest to know what other companies are doing to increase sales effectiveness through the use of sales compensation. For this month's newsletter, I provide a link to an article I co-authored with Jerry Colletti entitled, Harnessing the Power of Sales Compensation. The article appeared in this month's issue of Workspan, WorldatWork's monthly magazine, and it highlights the key findings from their most recent survey of sales compensation practices.
